The State Chancellery and Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt have initiated the REVIERPIONIER idea competition, inviting citizens to participate in shaping the structural change in the Central German region of Saxony-Anhalt. The kick-off event will take place on November 15, 2022, at the Röblingen Festival Barn.
The State of Saxony-Anhalt invites all citizens, clubs, non-profit institutions, schools, and daycare centers in the districts of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Burgenlandkreis, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, and the city of Halle (Saale) to act as REVIERPIONIERE (Pioneers of the Region) in collectively driving the structural change in the region. Prize money amounting to 1 million euros is available annually for the implementation of local project ideas.

Together with State Secretary Dr. Jürgen Ude, the first part of the event will introduce the competition and answer questions. The second part of the event offers the opportunity to present initial ideas and discuss them with those present.

The REVIERPIONIER idea competition is supported within the framework of the funding program “Strengthening of the Transformation Dynamics and Awakening in the Mining Areas and at the Coal Power Plant Sites – STARK”.
The implementation of the idea competition is carried out via the European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany (EMMD). In the transnational EMMD network, structurally determining companies, cities and districts, chambers and associations, as well as universities and research institutions from Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia are actively involved.
